PLUS1 Mentoring Program

PLUS1 participants are matched with an adult willing to offer emotional support and encouragement. Mentors share practical advice and information with their mentee and support them on their journey as a new parent.

What do mentors do?

Mentors agree to spend at least four hours a month communicating with their mentee
Mentors agree to participate in the program for a minimum of one year
Mentors complete a monthly contact report about their communication with their mentee
Mentors attend monthly training whenever possible

How to become a mentor:

Complete a Mentor Application
Complete a PLUS 1 Preference form
Complete all required background screenings
Provide three references
Complete an interview with the Mentor Coordinator
